Is Monji a reflash of my car?
No. What people often call “Geely multimedia firmware” for Monjaro, Preface, Cityray, Atlas or Volga K50 / K40 / C50 is, with Monji, an ordinary Android app (APK). We do not reflash the car’s blocks. You install it on the stock head unit and get app installation, navigation and the rest of Monji’s features. Only the multimedia block is affected — the engine, ESP, ABS and other systems stay as from the factory.
Do I need special permissions or unlocking to install Monji?
No, no special permissions or unlocking are required. Monji installs as an ordinary app on the head unit's stock system — you install it and use it.
And if something goes wrong — how do I get everything "back as it was"?
Returning to factory state takes about a minute. Since Monji is an app, not a firmware, you simply remove it with the delete button inside Monji, and the head unit returns to its stock look. No traces and no risk to the rest of the car's systems.
Which cars are supported?
Right now Monji works with: Geely Monjaro, Geely Preface, Geely Cityray, Geely Atlas, Volga K50, Volga K40, Volga C50. The Volga K50 is close in tech to the Geely Monjaro; K40 to Atlas, C50 to Preface. On all supported models Monji offers the same set of features. How does installation work and how long does it take?
Installation is done via USB from a laptop and takes about 20 minutes, following a step-by-step guide included in the installer. You install it yourself. Guides and video reviews are on the Installation page.
Do I need the internet for Monji to work?
The app itself runs on the stock system, but navigation (2GIS, Yandex Maps), music and updates need the internet. You can share Wi-Fi from your phone — Monji has built-in Wi-Fi control, and for iPhone both CarPlay and Wi-Fi are available at once.
Will Monji affect my car's warranty?
Monji does not interfere with the car's units and assemblies and does not reflash factory blocks — the changes concern only the multimedia app and are fully reversible in a minute. That said, the policy on software is set by your dealer, so for warranty questions we recommend checking the terms with your official dealer. If in doubt — ask us in Telegram @monjaro_monji and we'll advise on your situation.
Can I disable annoying assistants like lane-keeping and auto-braking?
Yes. In Monji you can disable the LKA, ELKA, LWD, over-speed warning, AEB, FCW and RCW assistants. The key convenience: after a car restart they don't pop up again — the setting persists. Remember that these are safety systems, so disable them deliberately and at your own risk.
What does Monji give me besides disabling assistants?
Monji turns the stock screen into a full Android tablet: an app store, navigation and steering-wheel / multimedia sync. On Geely Monjaro and Volga K50 there is a separate passenger screen with movies and headphone audio (Preface, Cityray, Atlas, K40 and C50 do not have one). Plus a flexible split screen (35–65%), 3 home screens with any colour palette, custom and live wallpapers, and widgets on the main desktop (climate, seat and wheel heating, massage, seat position, time), per-app DPI, Yandex Disk integration, Wi-Fi from Monji, saved drive mode (Eco/Comfort/Sport), climate presets, app auto-launch at startup, using the 360° cameras as a dashcam, and much more.
Is there a trial period?
Yes, a 7-day free trial. Install Monji, try out all the features and decide whether the app suits you before subscribing.
How much is the subscription and in what currency do I pay?
After the trial period an annual premium subscription applies: 90 BYN, 2,500 ₽ or $30. Sign-up via sales — @monjaro_monji_sales on Telegram.
How does Monji update?
Updates arrive OTA — "over the air", with no cables or trips to us. The app has a new-version check: as soon as an update is available, you install it right from the head unit (internet required).

Is it safe for my car?
Yes. Monji works only within the multimedia block and has no access to the engine, brakes or ESP systems. It's an installable app, not a firmware, so you can return to factory state in a minute at any time. No irreversible changes.
